What is OpenOffice?

OpenOffice is an open source suite of productivity applications that competes, more or less, with productivity suites such as Microsoft Office or Corel WordPerfect.  It includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation program, database, graphics editor and mathematical formula editor.

OpenOffice 3.2 has released.  To be fair it released a little while ago, I'm just slow to get this update posted!  Find out what's new with the product and download it here.

OpenOffice 3.1 has released.  New features include improved sharing of files, improvements to the Comments feature, outline levels within paragraphs, improved sorting in Calc and more.  You can find more info here.
